Shota Khabareli Presents Certificate of Appreciation to Two-Time World Champion Temur Khubuluri on Behalf of Sports Committee

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Temur Khubuluri — two-time World Champion and Olympic silver medallist in judo — First Deputy Chair of the Sports Committee, Shota Khabareli, presented the athlete with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Parliament's Sports Committee.

The ceremony took place at the National Olympic Committee Museum, where Shota Khabareli expressed his gratitude for Khubuluri’s significant contribution to the development of Georgian sports and highlighted his exceptional athletic achievements.

“Today is a meaningful day for Georgia’s sporting community. Prominent judoka Temur Khubuluri turns 70. On behalf of the Sports Committee, I would like to extend my congratulations. Years ago, we competed together at tournaments and I witnessed firsthand the determination with which he represented and honoured his country. Georgian sport stands on the shoulders of such individuals. Future generations should draw inspiration from his legacy and continue advancing the sporting disciplines", - Sh. Khabareli stated.

The anniversary celebration was attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee and fellow veteran athletes.
