The English translation of the Bill initiated by 13 MPs concerning the process and criterion of selection of the Judges to the Supreme Court is to be sent to CoE as MPs, Eka Beselia and Levan Gogichaishvili stated at the meeting with the Head of Georgia CoE Office, Cristian Urse.

According to E. Beselia, the Bill fully reflects the recommendations by CoE and other international organizations and is a reconciled version.

“At the meeting with Mr. Urse we spoke about the Venice Commission and noted that we are committed to provide CoE with the English translation of the Bill to be further forwarded to the Venice Commission. We will soon communicate with CoE and I would like to underline that this process will be of the highest political importance”.
