Viktor Sanikidze Meets with Chairs of Committees of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Viktor Sanikidze, Chair of the Sports Committee, met with a delegation from the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation, on a two-day working visit to Georgia, includes Arzu Naghiyev, Chair of the Defence, Security, and Anti-Corruption Committee and Head of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group; Shahin Ismayilov, Chair of the Youth and Sports Committee; and Anar Iskandarov, Chair of the Science and Education Committee.

During the meeting, Viktor Sanikidze expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani colleagues for their continued support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"Both the Georgian and Azerbaijani sides reaffirmed their readiness to further enhance bilateral relations. In discussions with our Azerbaijani colleagues, we addressed sports-related issues, noting that both countries share ambitious goals regarding the promotion and development of sports. We also explored opportunities for joint training camps and collaborative preparation between Georgian and Azerbaijani athletes", - Viktor Sanikidze stated following the meeting.

Members of the Parliament’s Sports Committee—Varlam Liparteliani, Zurab Rurua, Lasha Talakhadze, and Vladimer Khinchegashvili—also took part in the meeting with the Azerbaijani delegation.
