Meeting of the Georgia-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Delegation of the City of Afula

The Head of the Georgia-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Group, Givi Mikanadze and the Group members, Khatia Tsilosani and Nino Iobashvili held a meeting with the Delegation of the City of Afula.


The parties deliberated the diverse directions of the Georgia-Israel relations and emphasized the cooperation between the Twin Cities – Telavi and Afula in the spheres of culture, sports, youth and certain business directions.


“At the meeting, we discussed the projects that are already communicated with Telavi Municipality. Certain proposals in cultural, sports, youth and business directions have been expressed, allowing us to underline that our bilateral cooperation is successful since we already enjoy the first tangible outcomes. We scheduled the exchange visits and offered the extension of our business relations and more investments from Israel. We agreed that during the official visit of our Group to Israel scheduled in the nearest future, we visit Afula to meet the business representatives to introduce our investment potential to thus facilitate the attraction of more investments from Israel. We pledged our political support to the development of friendship between the Twin Cities”, - G. Mikanadze stated.


The initiative of twinning belongs to G. Mikanadze, born a year ago, and this summer, the Georgian Delegation, when serving the visit to Israel, concluded the Memorandum of Cooperation between Telavi and Afula. Based on the hereof fact, the Delegation of Israel already serves the fifth visit to Georgia in view of the planning of certain projects
