Shalva Papuashvili: LGBT propaganda is getting rooted even deeper in the world. We witness that when some concepts are established in other countries, they reach Georgia as well and thus, we consider it principal to regulate these issues

“As we observe, LGBT propaganda is getting rooted even deeper in the world, altering traditional relations, behavior, attitudes and perceptions, dictating the rules for societies that have never been established as traditions”, - the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili stated at the meeting of the Steering Commission of Universal-Public Consideration of the Draft Constitutional Laws with the population in Gori.
As he noted, numerous studies reveal the impact this propaganda's introduction to schools may have on children.
“We witness that when some concepts are established in other countries, they reach Georgia as well through various ways, including finances and that sometimes are even encouraged as certain ideas. Deriving from the current communications, the boundaries are conditional and factually, the whole world is shelled in an obstructed space and certain information or tendencies prevailing in one country are instantly snatched up. There are certain tendencies and directions that are already more or less relevant in Georgia – some more, some less – however, we consider it urgent to start the regulation of these issues if we have the approval of a society”, - the Speaker, chairing the Commission, stated.
As he noted, the Parliamentary Majority has already initiated two Drafts – an amendment to Article 30 of the Constitution, and the Draft Constitutional Law on protection of family values and minors.
